This is the perfect beach for the body surfer in you. Navio is not only a stunning beach, immortalized in the film Lord of the Flies, but it has very playful waves for those that enjoy an afternoon of fun body surfing. On the left side of the beach there is a small cave. After 3pm it becomes a beautiful grotto with the sun reflecting off the water. Navio is inside of the Sunbay preserve, but the dirt road to get you there is extremely challenging. Heavy rains can make the trek impassable. It’s deserted most of the time, but on Sunday afternoons impromptu volleyball is a tradition.
